Job Description:
Our church is seeking an ordained Southern Baptist Pastor who is responsible to the church for proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, for using his skills in administrative leadership, for engaging in pastoral ministries to meet the needs of church members and in the community and to act as Chief Administrator of the Ministerial and Vocational Staff.
Education and Character Requirements:
The Candidate will hold a Bachelors or is currently working toward a Masters of Divinity from an accredited seminary or Divinity School as well as three to ten years of pastoral experience.
The candidate must be a Godly man of high moral character. He must be spiritually mature and have a good reputation with those inside and outside the church. He must be outgoing and personable. He demonstrates an evangelistic lifestyle with the ability to attract and effectively minister to people of all ages.
Administration Requirements:
- Demonstrate a strong foundation of Biblical knowledge and be committed to cultivating spiritual growth in the congregation, both as a teaching preacher from the pulpit and leading in discipleship (2 Timothy 2:2).
- Lead the Deacons and Family Care Ministry and be responsible to train those individuals.
- Serves as the Chairman of the Church Council in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating the total church program (Sunday School, church events, etc.).
- Serve as a leader and lead the membership in soul winning training (outreach, outside the four walls).
- Keep the church informed of developments within the Denomination.
- Offer Office Hours for premarital counseling, individual counseling, visitation, and prayer. Advise other professional help as necessary.
- Officiate weddings, conduct funerals, and baptisms.

Children's Director
First Baptist Church of Goldsboro, NC is seeking a Children's Director who will minister to children on Sundays, Wednesdays, and will devote 2 hours to ministry on Thursday. Ideal candidate will be a female. Position is part time.
